VIDEO: Schalke's Jean-Clair Todibo Fires Wild NSFW Insult at Dortmund's Erling Haaland Right Before He Scores
By Sam Dunn
The world's game is back, and it's fiercer than ever! There was surely some pent-up aggression itching to be unleashed upon the resumption of not simpy Bundesliga soccer, but the bitter Revierderby, one of the premier rivalries in continental Europe. With Borussia Dortmund hosting Schalke behind closed doors without fans Saturday, the whole feel of the game was a bit off -- and brutally candid. Take Schalke's Jean-Clair Todibo, who was caught on a live mic delivering a horribly inappropriate, NSFW slam to Dortmund star man Erling Braut Haaland.
What we don't know, however, is if Norway's Haaland understands French. But that's clearly not the point.
The Revierderby has been waged for 95 years, with Gelsenkirchen's own Schalke 04 still holding a slim lead in the all-time series. Haaland has taken that to heart, and managed to fire back against Todibo's vicious insult with the perfect response.
Folks, that was cathartic, and it's been all BVB since then. It's 3-0 in favor of the hosts as of this writing. It only goes to show -- don't poke the bear, and absolutely leave the bear's grandma out of it.
