Schedule Sets up Surprisingly Well for Browns in 2nd Half Despite Early Gauntlet
By Parker White
The Cleveland Browns are in one of the weakest divisions in football, giving them a great opportunity to come out on top and reach the playoffs. However, they just lost to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, pushing their record to 2-4.
Cleveland and quarterback Baker Mayfield are taking a lot of heat Monday, as they had every opportunity to win their contest against Seattle, but costly turnovers were just too much to overcome.
When you do that at this level, you become very beatable. That's especially the case when facing top-tier teams.
On top of the Seahawks, Cleveland has faced the undefeated San Francisco 49ers, as well as the first-place Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Rams, who represented the NFC in the Super Bowl just last season.
Oh, and now they have to go up against the New England Patriots in Foxborough after their bye.
Luckily, after they face the Patriots, the Browns only have to face one team (Buffalo Bills) with a record above .500 over the latter seven weeks.
It hasn't looked sharp thus far, but the Browns still have a chance to make some noise in the AFC because of a softer schedule in the second half of the season.
