Scott Boras Honors Kobe Bryant's Wish and Creates Internship for John Altobelli's Daughter
By Jackson Thompson

On the morning of his death, Kobe Bryant made an effort to help a young woman secure an internship with a sports agency. Baseball super agent Scott Boras is fulfilling Bryant's efforts, and will be taking on the daughter of Bryant's friend, John Altobelli, who was on the helicopter with him on Jan. 26 that tragically crashed.
Alexis Altobelli will now be interning for the office of the biggest agent in all of baseball, all thanks to Bryant going out of his way to text Lakers general manager and former agent Rob Pelinka the morning of the accident to see if he could find a baseball internship for Alexis.

"Kobe's last human act was heroic. He wanted to use his platform to bless and shape a young girl's future. Hasn't Kobe done that for all of us?" Pelinka said at Bryant's memorial service at the Staples Center on Monday.

Boras and John Altobelli had known each other through baseball while Altobelli served as the head coach at Orange Coast College. They had spoken previously about internship opportunities for Alexis.
Boras also attended the same church as Bryant. Now, it's all come full circle.
