Everyone has seen cracks in the armor of the Houston Rockets since their second round loss to the Golden State Warriors this postseason. Apparently, amid all the dysfunction within the organization itself, it's the fan base that is acting like lunatics.

According to an article from The Athletic's Kelly Iko, Rockets fans came out of the playoff loss furious with Clint Capela, calling for him to be traded and even going as far as to vandalize his car:

As sports fans it can be tough to remember sometimes, so it bears repeating: it's just a game, guys. Reacting to the failures of your favorite team by vandalizing a player's car outside the stadium is a pretty good sign that you're a bad fan and, for that matter, a bad human being.

Admittedly, Capela did struggle this postseason. He averaged just 9.7 points per game, a near 7-point drop-off from the regular season. On top of that, he averaged 10.3 rebounds per game –– a solid figure, but another significant decrease from his regular season numbers.

But to scratch up, break the windows, and tear apart the side panels of his Range Rover is simply disgusting.

The argument that Capela is overpaid is a legitimate one, and that's the driving force in the trade rumors surrounding the center, especially as the Rockets deal with an even worse contract situation with Chris Paul. Still, though, Capela is a valuable presence in the paint; last season, he was in the NBA's top 15 in blocks per game, rebounds per game, and field goal percentage.

It's hard to imagine that Capela is feeling very welcome in Houston right about now, and with the myriad of trade rumors surrounding the big man, he could be looking at a difficult season ahead. Hopefully the Rockets fan base shows him some love ahead of next year, because their past actions are truly despicable.
