Seahawks DT Al Woods Receives 4-Game PED Suspension

Things were going incredibly well for the Seattle Seahawks. Almost too well, holding the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a 11-3 record. However, welcome back to Earth, Seattle fans.
On Friday afternoon, it was announced defensive tackle Al Woods has been suspended four games for a PED violation. His regular season is now done, and he'll miss a large chunk of the postseason.

There's no skating around this one. It's a big blow for the Seahawks, as Woods has been a key contributor this season, starting five games for Seattle. The news comes following Josh Gordon also being suspended by the NFL for PEDs.
The 6-4, 330-pounder has 32 tackles and one sack for Seattle this campaign. He's appeared in all 14 games for Pete Carroll.
The Seahawks are practicing at the moment. We’ll hear from Pete Carroll on this Al Woods suspension once practice ends.

If Seattle hangs on to its first-round bye, that means Woods wouldn't be able to return to the team until the Super Bowl. That is if they make it. The timing sure isn't great here. The rest of the defense will need to step up in his absence.
