Seahawks turned Bears down for Russell Wilson trade
By Brad Morin

On Tuesday morning, big quarterback news broke with the Chicago Bears... signing Andy Dalton? Unfortunately for Bears fans, this wasn't the update they were hoping for, as the hope was Russell Wilson would be heading to town. Well, that won't be happening.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bears aggressively tried to trade for Wilson on Monday, but were informed that he won't be leaving Seattle at this time and will be staying put with the Seahawks.

The Bears were one of four teams Wilson said this offseason he'd accept a trade to, along with the Saints, Raiders and Cowboys. Well, the Cowboys agreed to their monster four-year deal with Dak Prescott, while the Bears just signed Dalton. Meanwhile, the Raiders look ready to move forward with Derek Carr and the Saints will have Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill compete for the No. 1 job.
As for Wilson, he'll hopefully be able to get everything squared away with Seattle and help the team get back to a Super Bowl.
