The Seattle Seahawks stacked up on tight ends this offseason, and was quickly looking like a good decision. Now, despite it only being June, the team has already suffered a blow to their depth chart. Tight end Colby Parkinson, the No. 133 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, reportedly suffered a broken foot and is currently rehabbing in Seattle following surgery.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Parkinson fractured his fifth metatarsal while running a route in early June.

Seattle added multiple tight ends this offseason. In addition to drafting Parkinson, Seattle signed 35-year-old veteran Greg Olsen to a one-year, $7 million contract to join Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister at the tight end position.

Parkinson joins running backs Carlos Hyde and Chris Carson on the injury list. Hyde and Carson are expected to be healthy by Week 1, but there is no news yet on a timeline for Parkinson's return.

With the aging Olsen and the oft-injured Dissly in the rotation, Parkinson had a chance to get some touches his rookie season. Due the to injury, Parkinson will unfortunately have to rehab before returning to the field.

As more news comes in on the Stanford product, the outlook on the Seattle Seahawks roster for training camp will become more clear. Nonetheless, its a tough setback for the young prospect.
