Seahawks DE Jadeveon Clownley Adamantly Says He'll Play Sunday With NFC West Title on the Line
Injury-related news has not been good to the Seattle Seahawks in recent weeks, especially with Chris Carson and CJ Prosise being lost for the season. However, Seahawks fans will surely love the latest update out of team HQ.
On Thursday afternoon, star defensive end Jadeveon Clownley let reporters know he'll absolutely be playing on Sunday night against San Francisco with the NFC West championship on the line.
Leave no doubt, Jadeveon!
The 6-5, 255-pounder has missed the last two games due to a sickness and core muscle injury. His absence was certainly noticed in the Week 16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, as Seattle was unable to provide any kind of pressure up front. Getting him back to face Jimmy Garoppolo and Co. is obviously massive.
On the year, Clowney has posted 30 tackles, three sacks and one interception, which he took back to the house for a touchdown.
Sorry, San Francisco, you'll have to stop a beast in Marshawn Lynch for Seattle's offense, while a fellow beast will look to bring the pain on defense. Sunday can't come soon enough.
