Seahawks DE Ziggy Ansah Sits Out Thursday Practice With Neck Injury
By Brendan Balsamo
The Seattle Seahawks have seen first hand what an injury-riddled roster can do to a team. After facing and beating a Philadelphia Eagles team in the NFC Wild Card Round that had but six starters hurt all season, the Seahawks seem to be fighting their own battle with the injury bug now.
After being limited in practice on Wednesday, starting defensive tackle Ziggy Ansah sat out of practice on Thursday due to a neck injury.
Ansah totaled 2.5 sacks and 11 solo tackles this year for Seattle after joining the team in free agency from playing with the Lions since 2013.
Also notable on the practice report were linemen George Fant and Duane Brown who also sat out, and defensive ends Quinton Jefferson and Jadaveon Clowney who were limited.
This hopefully doesn't spell disaster for the Seahawks, who go into Sunday having to face the Aaron Rodgers-led Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. With any luck, the Seahawks hope they didn't catch the injury bug from the Eagles.
