Seahawks HC Pete Carroll Seems Ready to Feed Beast Mode More Against Packers Sunday
Marshawn Lynch has been eased back into action in his return to the Seattle Seahawks.
He had 12 carries for 34 yards in Week 17, and only six for seven yards in last week's win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Head coach Pete Carroll wants to change that this week against the Green Bay Packers and get Beast Mode going early and often, according to Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport explains how Lynch is in better shape, and should be back in the normal routine of playing in the NFL. He abruptly signed with the team in Week 17, and had to get used to the daily grind of being in the league again.
Of course, the team would not have signed Lynch if they didn't believe he could get back to his old ways, and the cold weather in Green Bay will be a perfect opportunity to show off his skills.
Carroll is forever seeking redemption for not handing the ball to Lynch in the infamous Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots. Feeding Beast Mode and letting him dominate Sunday afternoon would be the right move in a stadium where Russell Wilson has struggled throughout his career.
