Quandre Diggs Shoots His Shot on Twitter at Jadeveon Clowney to Re-Sign With the Seahawks
By Jerry Trotta

Seattle Seahawks supporters are surely waiting in angst for news to drop regarding Jadeveon Clowney's free agency decision.
As it turns out, they aren't alone.
Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs, who was acquired in a trade with the Detroit Lions in October, took to Twitter on Friday to try and persuade Clowney to "come home." Yup, Diggs is hoping Clowney signs a new deal to stay in Seattle.
If you can hear me @clownejd come home. https://t.co/FrqfFTrkVI

Something tell us that Clowney would love to return to the Hawks, but a reunion is highly dependent on what kind of money the former No. 1 overall pick is seeking out.
Heading into the offseason, Clowney was demanding to reset the market for defensive linemen. A contract in that range would pay the star pass rusher over $20 million per year. After failing to get a sniff of interest in the frantic first wave of NFL free agency, his price tag has surely dropped.
That benefits Seattle, but reports still indicate that the 27-year-old star is holding out hope that a team will eventually cave into his demands.
Sources say Jadeveon Clowney wants about $20mill per year. Interested teams aren’t coming up that high as of now. Look at the players in his position who were tagged, Judon, Dupree, Barrett, Yannick. Teams don’t want to pay $5mill more than the franchise tag.

It goes without saying that retaining Clowney would be massive for a Seahawks defense that needs an elite defensive lineman in the worst way.
Diggs is evidently motivated for an agreement to get done, and maybe his enthusiasm will translate to Seattle's front office pressing the issue to re-sign the three-time Pro Bowler...at the right price, of course.
