Seahawks Acquire Underrated CB Quinton Dunbar and Redskins Got Fleeced
By Mark Powell

Leave it to the Washington Redskins to give up their best CB for virtually nothing.
The Seattle Seahawks, meanwhile, continue to find creative ways to use the money Jadeveon Clowney has gifted them by demanding an albatross of a contract that they are unlikely to come to terms on.
Seattle has acquired Quinton Dunbar, a solid, young CB on an affordable contract, for a fifth-round pick. Seahawks fans should be jumping for joy.
Quinton Dunbar finished last season as @PFF number 2 overall CB, he wanted a new contract from the #Redskins

Be interesting to see what the #Seahawks gave up for him.
Dunbar made his desire to leave Washington known, especially after they failed to sign him to a lucrative contract extension. This took any and all leverage away from the Redskins, allowing Seattle to swoop in and acquire one of the best young corners in all of football for nothing more than a late-round draft pick. This is classic mismanagement under Dan Snyder, and the Seahawks will benefit.
The Seahawks added Quinton Dunbar and Quandre Diggs to their secondary for 2020 fifth and seventh-round picks, and a 2021 seventh, over the past six months.

That's how you utilize capital.
The Seahawks have smartly gotten involved in the trade market at the perfect time, waiting until these potential stars are fed up with their current situations, and acquiring them for pennies on the dollar. Now, with money freed up from Clowney (assuming he doesn't return on a cheaper deal), Seattle can give Dunbar the fair estimate he wasn't receiving in Washington.
