Seahawks RB Chris Carson Not Expected to Require Surgery on Injured Hip

The Seattle Seahawks lost Chris Carson to a season-ending injury in Week 16. The injury caused the team to go out and sign both Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin as Carson joined Rashaad Penny and C.J. Prosise on IR.
There was an initial fear that Carson would require surgery, however it looks like that won't be the case. According to reports, Carson's hip ailment won't require surgery, and instead he'll take the offseason to recover.

Hip surgery could have led to a long and painful recovery. Now Carson is expected to be good to go for the start of the summer for a team that will be relying on him once again in 2020.

Carson finished fifth in the NFL this season with 1,230 rushing yards and could have competed for the crown if he played all of Week 16 and 17. His absence is a notable one for the Seahawks this weekend and the team will be hoping Lynch can provide some of his usual magic to fill the void.
