Russell Wilson is finally getting the recognition as one of the greatest quarterback talents who has ever graced the NFL stage.

That evaluation might seem outlandish from the surface when you consider the fact that he's won a Super Bowl and has been named to five Pro Bowls, but Wilson has largely been overlooked across his first seven-plus seasons in the league.

Wilson turned 31 on Friday and told reporters that he's not even close to embracing the back nine of his career, asserting that he wants to play until the age of 45!

"I've always wanted to go for 45," Wilson said. "That's kind of just longevity playing. I think, for me, every year is you're invested to your body. You're invested into your mind, your soul, everything else...As you go, you get even stronger and you get even better, I feel like. Even more wisdom. I think that helps a lot."

To put that mind-boggling quote into perspective, if the Seattle Seahawks' superstar were to meet those projections, he'd be in the league for 14 more seasons.

At this rate, and taking into account all of the odds that he's defeated to get to where he is today, it would be downright foolish to put anything past Russ.

Whatever happens, happens, but Wilson's forecast further proves that he's a construction of science, not humanity.
