Seahawks Shouldn't Even Think About Signing Antonio Brown With Josh Gordon Suspended

Everything was going right for the Seattle Seahawks. After a close win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, coupled with the 49ers choking against the Falcons, Pete Carroll and Co. are now the top seed in the NFC.

Then, seemingly out of nowhere, the NFL announced that Josh Gordon had (AGAIN) been suspended indefinitely for PEDs and violating the league's substance abuse policy. As soon as that news dropped, Antonio Brown rumors brewed like Seattle's Best Coffee. However, John Schneider, I beg of you... don't even touch this thought with a 10-foot pole.

While few can argue Brown isn't one of the best receivers in the game when healthy, how can his off-the-field antics be worth the risk? If Gordon was a ticking time bomb, Brown is an explosive mid-release. Just recently, he took to Instagram live to broadcast an NSFW run-in with the police. He's been accused of sexual assault by his former personal trainer. He's gone on countless rants on Twitter insulting the NFL, even saying he doesn't want to play in the league again.

Despite this, reports remain active out there saying there are double-digit teams interested in bringing his talents to an NFL city near you. Seahawks fans must hope it's not Seattle and the 206.

Again, yes, the talent is there, but AB84 seems like the recipe to destroy a locker room. Does Russell Wilson need to worry about keeping this guy happy?

With Gordon now out of the picture, it'd make sense for Seattle to look at other WR options. However, it's not a major need right now. Tyler Lockett is back to 100%. He showed that with his eight receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown against the Panthers. An outside threat? D.K. Metcalf is all I've got to say.

Sitting at 11-3, with the NFC West championship in its sights, along with the No. 1 seed, Seattle has other things to worry about than bringing in a hot-headed receiver like Brown. Keep him out of Seattle, and again, don't even think about doing something here, John Schneider.
