Seahawks TE Will Dissly Expected to Miss Rest of Season in Devastating Blow for Seattle
By Michael Luciano
One of the best breakout tight ends in the NFL this season won't play another snap, and Russell Wilson is now down one of his favorite targets.
Will Dissly injured his Achilles during the Seattle Seahawks' win over the Cleveland Browns. The doctors confirmed what everyone in the Pacific Northwest was dreading, as Dissly is done for the rest of the season.
Dissly was viewed as nothing more than a blocking tight end when he was drafted out of Washington, but he has become one of the better receiving threats from that position in the NFC. In six games this season, Dissly caught 23 passes for 262 yards and 4 touchdowns.
In his stead, fan favorite backup Luke Willson and former New England Patriots castoff Jacob Hollister will fill in. However, neither of them have the soft hands and contested catch ability that Dissly has.
Wilson and the Seahawks were able to defeat Cleveland without Dissly, but his lack of presence will be felt in the coming weeks.
