Seahawks Troll Cowboys and Tony Romo on Twitter Over Botched Field Goal in Playoffs
By Brady Williams
In 2007, the Dallas Cowboys were a field goal away from a playoff win against the Seattle Seahawks. Just 19 yards stood between kicker Martin Gramatica and the victory, but Tony Romo botched the hold. Unable to secure the ball, he unsuccessfully dashed toward the end zone and was tackled a yard short of the goal line. The Seahawks won, and the terrifying memory is etched into Cowboys fans' minds forever.
So those down in Big D aren't going to like what they're seeing on the Seahawks' Twitter account on Wednesday.
As part of "#WinningWednesday," they shared the most embarrassing play of Romo's career to the delight of Hawks fans everywhere.
The Seahawks advanced to the divisional round of the playoffs after that fateful January game. They ended up losing to the Chicago Bears, but that doesn't take away from this epic postseason moment.
After all, it's still relevant 13 years later -- though for very different reasons among the two fan bases.
You can't delete history! Sorry, Cowboys fans!
