Pete Carroll Provides Positive Injury Update on Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett
Monday was almost a perfect night for the Seattle Seahawks, as their 27-24 upset win over San Francisco is still being talked about all over the Emerald City.
However, another major topic of conversation has been on the health of Tyler Lockett, who left the game late against SF and spent the night in the hospital having his leg injury examined. Fortunately for the Hawks, head coach Pete Carroll has come out and said Lockett is expected to be just fine.
Lockett, who has been among the top receivers in the NFL this year, suffered a leg contusion, but it reportedly resulted in some major swelling. So much in fact, Seattle's medical team deemed it was worthy of a trip to the hospital due to the fear of potential compartment syndrome.
However, it seems like that trip to the hospital was a precautionary one. Whether or not No. 16 will miss any time is up in the air, but Seattle does have a bye this weekend.
Following last night's victory, Seattle is now 8-2 on the year and San Francisco is 8-1. If the Hawks want to make a push for that NFC West championship and a higher seed come postseason time, they'll undoubtedly need Lockett out on the gridiron making plays for Russell Wilson.
