Seahawks WR David Moore to Miss Week 1 and Possibly Beyond With Shoulder Injury
By Parker White

The Seattle Seahawks were already weak at the wide receiver position, especially with the sudden retirement of Doug Baldwin earlier in the year, but it's really thin now.
According to Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, receiver David Moore will be out for some time after suffering a shoulder injury in practice on Thursday. The expectation is that he won't be ready for Week 1 of the season.
News from Pete Carroll's presser: WR David Moore suffered what sounds like a serious shoulder injury in practice yesterday. Carroll said he'll be out for a while and later said he's not expected to be back by Week 1. WR corps taking some hits with Moore and DK Metcalf hurt.

Now with Moore out for who knows how long, Seattle won't have him or rookie wideout D.K. Metcalf, who recently underwent knee surgery. Metcalf isn't supposed to be out long, but he still might miss the season opener.
Luckily, in Moore's case, he isn't expected to require surgery.
#Seahawks WR David Moore is getting a second opinion on a shoulder injury that is not expected to require surgery, source said. Pete Carroll told reporters today Moore won't be ready for Week 1. D.K. Metcalf (knee surgery) also sidelined right now.

Moore, a former seventh-rounder out of East Central Oklahoma in 2017, showed some promise last year. He appeared in all 16 games and hauled in 26 receptions for 445 yards and 5 touchdowns.
