Sean Lee References Jason Garrett Speech as Added Motivation for Cowboys on Sunday
Jason Garrett has been on the hot seat for quite some time as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. The only thing he has going for him this year is that winning the NFC East remains a possibility, thanks to the other underperforming squads in the division.
The Cowboys entered Sunday as losers of three straight games. Fans were fed up with Garrett and the rumors swirled. But his team did not give up and responded with a huge 44-21 win over the Rams. Apparently Garrett inspired his team with a speech Saturday night.
Sean Lee is a leader in Dallas and if he was inspired, the speech must have really resonated with the entire team. That sure looked to be the case as the Cowboys jumped out to a 28-7 halftime lead over the Rams.
Garrett does not always come off as a fiery guy on the sidelines, at least to fans. However he seems to have worked the magic with his impassioned speech over the weekend, which resulted in a statement win for the Cowboys.
While the team's recent struggles had fans ready to move on from Garrett, the bounce back win on Sunday will give him a bit of a longer leash.
Let's hope he can come back with an equally moving speech ahead of next week's clash with the Eagles.
