Sean McDermott Jabs Bills Receivers' Lack of Height With the Ultimate Insult
By Parker White

The Buffalo Bills were aggressive this offseason in changing the look of their wide receiver corps. Not only are the names on the jerseys different, but it's a group full of established wideouts who lack size.
That is an unmistakable fact, and it led to Bills head coach Sean McDermott calling them Smurfs.

“I would say, with all of our wide receivers, they’re kinda like Smurfs. If you’ve ever watched the Smurfs, they live in like a small village so they can separate in small places. And all of our receivers are like this tall,” McDermott said.
Was that suppose to be a compliment? I mean, he's not wrong but I wouldn't compare my receivers to tiny blue creatures who live in mushroom-shaped houses.

Newly acquired receivers Cole Beasley, John Brown and Andre Roberts do check in under six feet tall, and even those coming back, Zay Jones and Robert Foster, are both under 6-2.
They may not have a big receiver who can be a red zone threat or someone who has size and can stretch the defense, but they've all shown the ability to make big plays in short to intermediate routes.
This is one way to motivate your guys. We'll see if they embrace the comments and run with it into the season.
