The New Orleans Saints were always going to ride or die with their head coach. And now, they're keeping things rolling for another five years.

Per NFL insider Jay Glazer, Sean Payton will sign a contract extension with the Saints to keep him around through the 2024 season.

Payton is a singular figure in Saints history, leading the once-lowly franchise to its first-ever Super Bowl title nine years ago. First hired in 2006 at the age of 42 as New Orleans recovered from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, he went on to become the winningest coach in team history.

Overall, Payton has coached the Saints to five NFC South titles and seven seasons with double-digit wins.

This was a no-brainer for the Saints, who just wouldn't be who they are without their iconic head coach. Let the good times keep rolling in NoLa.
