Sean Payton Takes Shot at JJ Watt After Texans Star Gets Owned by Saints OL Ryan Ramczyk on MNF
By Thomas Carannante
The Houston Texans lost a heartbreaker to the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football in a night filled with storylines.
One of the prominent narratives featured Texans star JJ Watt recording zero tackles (for the first time in his career) and zero sacks while matching up with Saints right tackle Ryan Ramczyk.
In case you didn't know, these two have a bit of a history, with Watt calling Ramczyk out back in 2015 for his lackluster play.
Well, bud, four years can make a difference, and Saints head coach Sean Payton sure let Watt know about that after the game.
The Texans lost on a last-second 58-yard field goal, so literally any contribution from Watt could've gotten them the win. Instead, he's eating his words from a long time ago following a career-worst performance.
Houston has now lost three straight openers, but the good news is that everyone in their division lost except for the Titans. The Texans will get a shot at the Nick Foles-less Jags next week, so the opportunity to rebound and put this behind them will very much be there.
