Secret to Tennessee’s Recent Recruiting Success Isn’t Complicated at All

Tennessee football has been on a hot streak this offseason. Even though they cannot have recruits visit campus or conduct in-home visits, head coach Jeremy Pruitt and his staff are finding ways to land some of the best talent across the nation in the Class of 2021.
Many in and around college football are wondering how exactly the Vols are getting commits in such a difficult SEC that includes recruiting hotbeds like Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida and others. When taking a deeper look at the numbers provided by 247Sports, it makes a bit more sense.

Tennessee’s staff under Pruitt is the catalyst for this recruiting hot streak. With the top five recruiters in the conference all on the Vols’ staff, it is easy to see why it is doing so well. With the Volunteers doing so well on the recruiting trail, fans are starting to take notice.

There aren't any sort of tricks that go into Tennessee’s recruiting style. It is just a matter of its coaching staff going out and putting in the work necessary to pick up verbal commitments from top players. When that happens, that leads to having one of the best 2021 recruiting classes in the nation.
