Security Guard Reportedly Pressing Charges Against Ezekiel Elliott Stemming From Las Vegas Incident
By Jerry Trotta
Just last week, the NFL came to a ruling on the incident concerning Ezekiel Elliott and a security guard at a Las Vegas music festival that materialized back in May. Though most football fans inferred that the All-Pro running back would be dealt a suspension, it was ultimately determined that he did not violate the league's Personal Conduct Policy.
However, the good times did not last very long for Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys.
Per David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, the security guard is allegedly pressing charges against the former Ohio State superstar.
Multiple reports have claimed that Zeke shoved the guard, identified as 19-year-old Kyle Johnson, into a fence during a brief chest-to-chest confrontation. And as expected, Johnson did anything but agree with the NFL's ruling.
"To just not have anything happen to him, the NFL is basically saying, 'Hey, it's OK for you to go to Vegas, get obliterated, then go shove people over fences,'" Johnson told Fox 5 Las Vegas.
The report claimed that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police will conduct their own investigation to determine if legitimate charges are sanctioned.
We presume that Johnson assumed that the NFL would discipline Elliott at least in some form as he originally elected to not press charges against the two-time Pro Bowler.
Well, the previously-closed case is now back open and we will provide updates as they are made available.
