Sergio Romo Jokes About Hitting Former Teammate Brian Anderson With Pitch
By Michael Luciano

Minnesota Twins pitcher Sergio Romo didn't have to travel far to link up with his new teammates once he was traded, as he simply swapped locket rooms when the Twins went down to South Beach to lock horns with the Miami Marlins.
In his first game as a twin, Romo pitched a scoreless inning against his former team, but accidentally plunked Marlins third baseman Brian Anderson. If you were to take Romo at his word, it would sound like he's out for blood and hates Anderson's guts. This quote, however, is another completely sarcastic remark from the jokester Romo is.
Sergio Romo laughed as he talked about hitting former teammate Brian Anderson: "I will say, I took my shot at the only guy I didn't like on that team. I hit Anderson and took my shot because I don't like him at all. I really, really don't."#MNTwins #Marlins

Following the surprising release of Blake Parker, the 36-year-old Romo figures to be an experienced relief option with tons of postseason success that can replace him.
The three-time World Series champion recorded a 3.58 ERA and 17 saves while serving as Miami's closer this season.

Dating back to his days in San Francisco, Romo always had a reputation for being witty and a complete prankster. He's certainly lived up to that billing during his brief tenure as a Twin.
