Seton Hall Star Myles Powell Teases Playing Another Year in College and Fans Are Losing it
By Michael Luciano
Kevin Willard has quietly built Seton Hall into one of the most consistent programs in the Big East, and his development of guard Myles Powell from second unit spark to legit superstar has been one of the main reasons why.
With the cancellation of the NCAA Tournament amid fears of spreading the coronavirus, many assumed that Powell had played his last game with the Pirates. However, Powell seems to be hinting that he could run it back for one more season after players were granted another year of eligibility due to these circumstances.
This would come as a major surprise to the college basketball world considering Powell is a senior and doesn't have any years of eligibility left. But Pirates fans are LOVING it.
Yup, Seton Hall supporters are dying for another campaign like this past season -- something they haven't seen in almost two decades.
Imagine that. Bring the crew back!
The 2020 Big East Player of the Year and Trenton native averaged 21 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. While his shooting could stand to improve, Powell put himself on the map as it pertains to potentially getting a shot in the NBA. Don't be surprised if he hears his name called in the summer.
If Powell can somehow manage to earn himself another year of eligibility in South Orange, Pirates fans will be completely ecstatic. The rest of the Big East, however, will be less than thrilled having to watch him drill threes in their faces for another season.
