When it comes to the MLB All-Star Game, the rosters for the penultimate event shuffle just days prior. Friday was no different when it comes to the American League squad.
Cleveland Indians pitcher Shane Bieber and Oakland Athletics reliever Liam Hendriks will replace Charlie Morton and Mike Minor on the AL roster.

Morton bowed out of the Midsummer Classic due to an undisclosed injury. Minor won't be playing in the game, but will appear for the on-field festivities.
Bieber is now the fourth Cleveland representative in the All-Star Game, joining Carlos Santana, Francisco Lindor, and Brad Hand. This season, Bieber holds a 7-3 record along with a 3.54 ERA and an impressive 133 strikeouts in 104.1 innings of work. His reward? His first-ever All-Star Game.

Hendriks selection is a tremendous story. Just last season, the right-handed relief pitcher was designated for assignment. In 2019, Hendriks has posted an impressive 1.29 ERA over 48.2 innings, and now, he's officially a first-time All-Star.

Even though Charlie Morton and Mike Minor had to step down, Shane Bieber and Liam Hendriks are more than deserving replacements.
