The Sunday night matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks seemed poised to cap off one of the more captivating NFL slates of of the 2019 season.

Unfortunately for football fans across the country, it was a one-sided affair that saw the Rams improve to 8-5 on the year with a convincing 28-12 victory.

The Seahawks came out alarmingly flat, as their high-flying offense failed to find the end zone and their defense allowed huge chunks of yardage to Robert Woods and Todd Gurley all night long. Shortly after the humbling L, defensive back Shaquill Griffin called out his squad for being too smug coming into the game.

"I feel like we were on a high horse at the time," said Griffin, via NBC Sports Northwest. "That’s not a bad thing, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes it takes that little loss to make you feel like, ‘You know what? We can’t act like we’re just the best team out there. We can’t come in thinking we’re automatically going to win this game.'"

We can't speak for everybody watching, but in our eyes, Griffin's criticism of Seattle perfectly summed up their forgettable display on SNF.

The Seahawks, for some reason, were clearly still riding high from their 37-30 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night. Because of that complacency they saw the San Francisco 49ers take over the No.1 seed in the NFC.

Given how tight things are in the current playoff picture, Pete Carroll's side can't afford this palpable lack of focus to transpire again down the closing stretch of the regular season.

Hopefully Griffin's comments can help snap this team back into focus.
