Shohei Ohtani making history with the 50-50 club was absolutely wild
There will seriously never be another player quite like Shohei Ohtani. When the superstar signed his $700 million deal with the Dodgers, some people thought he may not be able to live up to the hype. Well, what do they have to say now?
On Thursday night in a 20-4 win over the Marlins, Ohtani produced one of the best single-game performances in MLB history: he went 6-for-6, with three homers, 10 RBI, a double, a single, two stolen bases and four runs scored. With that, he has now topped 50 homers and 50 stolen bases for 2024, making history. This is unreal:
Even the biggest of Dodgers haters have to admire what he has been able to get done this campaign. To be the first member of the 50-50 club is truly hard to even fathom. Oh, and belting three dingers in a game while going 6-for-6? Out of this world. Congrats to Ohtani, who is now focused on trying to help LA win the World Series this fall.
