Some Fan Created an 'All-Kevin' Lineup for Knicks Offseason Backup Plan and it Sounds Delightful
By Parker White
The feeling around NBA circles is that the New York Knicks are going to get one of the big fish in free agency. As the days go by, it seems more and more likely that Kyrie Irving is going to end up signing with the Brooklyn Nets. So where do the Knicks go from there?
Obviously, the big name they want to bring aboard is Kevin Durant. That would turn this franchise around quickly. But that can't be all. Here's an offseason plan that makes a lot of sense for the Knicks, and also includes an overload of Kevins.
The first thing on the list has to deal with trading the third overall pick to the Atlanta Hawks for the 10th overall pick and guard Kevin Huerter, who is coming off a brilliant rookie campaign. With that pick, the Knicks should then select USC guard Kevin Porter Jr.
If the Cleveland Cavaliers end up buying out veteran forward Kevin Love, which seems possible, the Knicks should pick him up.
To beef up the coaching staff, New York should hire well-respected NBA coach Kevin McHale. Oh, and no matter what, the Knicks should feature second-year forward Kevin Knox a lot more.
What do they all in common? As well as being good basketball players that could make the Knicks a contender in the East, they all have the same first name of "Kevin."
It could get loud and chirpy in the Garden, though.
Front office could use an upgrade too, though, while we're at it.
Yeah, who needs "Steve"?!
In fact, who needs a Kyrie when you have five Kevins who can all ball?
