Someone Went to Town on DK Metcalf's Wikipedia With Wild Edits After He Destroyed the Eagles
By Scott Rogust
The NFL playoffs always features the emergence of an up-and-coming star. During Wild Card Weekend, the world witnessed the next-level rise of Seattle Seahawks rookie receiver DK Metcalf.
Seattle's second-round pick caught seven-of-nine targets from quarterback Russell Wilson for 160 yards and a touchdown in the team's 17-9 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
As is the case with any breakout performance, Metcalf's Wikipedia page was "properly" edited in the aftermath.
"Position: Philadelphia Eagles owner." On Sunday, he certainly was. Sorry, Jeffrey Lurie.
But, the editing only continued, and yes, it got even more ridiculous. In fact, it got all the way down to the body.
A user wrote a backstory on his first name "DK," which, to this individual, stands for "Double Kick." Oh, and they continued by saying his parents met a calf, so they changed their last name to Metcalf. Look, we can't do this justice. Just look at the tweet below and read it yourself. You won't regret it.
Of course, all of these edits have been removed from the webpage, as of this writing.
DK Metcalf was already an internet favorite, due to his jacked physique. But after his dominating performance in the playoffs, he's officially made it in the NFL.
