Someone Just Reportedly Leaked First Look at New Sixers 'Statement' Jersey for 2019

Thanks to the NBA's fruitful, yet bizarre, Nike partnership, every team can welcome plenty of new alternates to their wardrobe closet each and every year.

Yes, each and every one of the league's 30 teams gets a new "Statement" jersey each year, which serves as their primary alternate.

Our first leaked look at one this year comes courtesy of the Sixers; their new duds look familiar, with a bit of an alteration.

Last year's were the bright red jerseys that read "Sixers" in script across the front, featuring stars down the sides, harkening back to this country's early days. This year? They're repping Philadelphia in verbiage, stretching the city's full name across the front of a blue jersey.

And did you catch that gold stripe down the side? Sort of harkens back to memories of the AI era, doesn't it?

While Philly isn't doing anything truly bold here (and we'll miss the reds, if they don't appear as a City Edition of some sort), something always feels nice about wearing your city across your chest.
