Sounds Like the Cowboys Have Already Made a Decision on Jason Garrett's Future
By Michael Luciano

The Dallas Cowboys could be in the market for a new head coach after a disappointing 2019, as things aren't looking too rosy for Jason Garrett after a rocky season.
The Cowboys have reportedly made up their mind on Garrett's fate for the 2020, and will be targeting college coaches like Oklahoma's Lincoln Riley based on a report from Ian Rapoport.

— Ron Rivera should have a job quickly, with the #Redskins interested
— The #Jaguars & #Browns are both undecided and wins today could help make a decision.
— The #Cowboys looming search will have a targeted, college feel. https://t.co/ezCIKuKHMT
It worked with Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer. Why can't it work now?
Garrett has led the Cowboys to a 7-8 record so far in 2019. While they still have a shot at the playoffs, they must rely on the New York Giants taking down the Philadelphia Eagles while also managing to beat the Washington Redskins themselves.
Garrett's Cowboys are loaded with talent and expensive contracts at almost every key position on the field, but his inability to make adjustments again could doom the Cowboys to another season of watching the playoffs at home on TV.
There have been a ton of embarrassing losses by Jason Garrett over the decade.

But this might take the cake.
Garrett is the ultimate "average" coach in the NFL. He'll win you 7-9 games a year with his eyes closed, but you're simply not going to win a championship with him. Jones used to mandate championships in his heyday, and a return to that mentality could see Garrett handed his pink slip soon enough.
