South Carolina President Robert Caslen Announces Will Muschamp Will Return as Gamecocks Head Coach

It's been a rough and hectic year for Will Muschamp and the South Carolina Gamecocks.
From a halftime interview freakout, to a postgame rant on the refs, to even having a staffer fight a guy in a Muschamp costume, it's clear the head coach has had better seasons.

Well, Wednesday afternoon brought even more chaos for the coach, as South Carolina President Robert Caslen apparently 'misspoke' regarding their Athletic Director talking to Florida State about how to reach a buyout with Muschamp.

The Seminoles fired head coach Willie Taggart earlier this year despite his hefty buyout. South Carolina would have to pay Muschamp the remaining $19.4 million on his contract if fired right now, unless another school were to help facilitate such a situation.
But now Calsen has backtracked on these words, and Muschamp will remain the Gamecocks' coach for at least the immediate future.
So Bob Caslen either a.) gets it right, or b.) is forced into a decision by his own silly comment tour of the state:

Caslen today:
"Our Athletic Director and I support Will Muschamp, and we look forward to him being our coach next year and for seasons to come."
South Carolina is 4-7 this season, and Muschamp must improve upon that next year should he wish to avoid losing his job come 2021.
