Spencer Dinwiddie is a Low-Key Rival to Kyrie Irving for the Most Bizarre Opinions in the NBA
By Alexander Wolz
Kyrie Irving makes some of the strangest statements in the NBA, whether he's claiming the Earth is flat, or flat-out critiquing his teammates.
But he may have received some competition in recent weeks from within his own locker room.
Spencer Dinwiddie's latest tweet proves he's coming for Irving's crown, and this is not the first time Dinwiddie has taken to Twitter to voice his out-there thoughts, either.
Huh?
Now Dinwiddie highlighting the fact that it's a "school of thought" indicates that he may not entirely subscribe to it, but tweeting it out into the open means something.
A quick look at the replies to Dinwiddie's tweet shows how silly his analysis is. Clothes, sunscreen and soap are essential items placed on our body that we keep away from our organs. So I guess that idea was shot down pretty quickly.
This is not the first time Dinwiddie has done some strange things off-the-court, either. Recently, you may remember he left his future in the NBA up to a GoFundMe. I don't think I've ever seen that one before. He also hasn't been shy about tweeting his thoughts on the NBA's restart plan in Orlando.
I will say, though, Kyrie Irving has sometimes made erroneous claims before intentionally fading away from the spotlight. Dinwiddie is at least willing to state and back up his arguments, and you have to respect him for that, even if his opinions may be a bit odd at times.
Time to get the popcorn out to see who from the Nets makes the next questionable comment.
