Spike Lee Should Break up With Knicks and Start Attending Nets Games
On Monday night, a video was released of Spike Lee, maybe the most famous New York Knicks fan in the world, getting into it with security about which door he should enter through. While this may seem rather trivial, Spike clearly feels that the disrespect he has been receiving as of late from the team is enough for him to stop going to the games.
Instead of going back to the same organization that keeps dissing its most famous fans and former players (looking at you, Charles Oakley), Spike should start going to Nets games, as the team is not only more successful and tickets are cheaper, but they honor their legendary players and fans.
Spike lives close to the Barclays Center, and after the Knicks statement insinuating that he is lying regarding his statements about being set up by James Dolan, he should start watching the Nets, at least for the rest of the year, and potentially into next considering the pending returns of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.
Especially with the amount of money he spends on Knicks tickets year after year, Lee should be awarded pretty much every luxury he can imagine at MSG, even if it is something as minor as entering through the wrong doors.
The fact that the Knicks won't give in to their most famous fan and probably biggest spender says a lot more about the organization than it does about Spike. He should go watch the Nets, who will embrace him with open arms.
