NBA free agency is still three weeks way but the San Antonio Spurs are already reportedly plotting a series of potentially shocking moves.

In an interview with ESPN's Ryen Russillo, NBA front office insider Bobby Marks claimed that San Antonio is targeting Pacers soon-to-be free agent and 2018 breakout winger, Bojan Bogdanovic.

Later in the sit-down, however, Marks went on to assert that the Spurs could offer DeMar DeRozan in trade talks once July hits to create enough cap room to chase Bogdanovic.

"I've heard this from three different people that the Spurs have circled Bojan Bogdanovic as their target there," said Marks. "To do that you'd have to move a contract like DeRozan's expiring...I don't see an extension in play for him."

Wow.

While nobody really expected San Antonio to make retaining DeRozan a top priority this offseason, as the four-time All-Star is due over $27 million next season in the final year of his contract, to reportedly be willing to offload him for a player who's averaged 13.3 points per game (compared to DeMar's 19.9) over seven seasons seems like an audacious strategy.

Bojan is coming off a season where he set career-highs in most offensive departments, but that should be considered an extreme outlier when you look at the rest of his six seasons in the Association.

We understand that money plays a huge part here, but to say that the Spurs are concerned about winning next season based on this report would be an utter deception.
