St. Louis Cardinals Release Lineup for Spring Training Opener Against Mets
By Adam Weinrib

It's time for Cardinals baseball already! No, seriously!
Your Cards face off on Saturday afternoon with a split squad of New York Mets, and they'll be led by Jack Flaherty (the ACE!) on the bump, guided behind the dish by Yadi Molina.
Já que os Cardinals não soltam o lineup, lá vai:

Fowler RF
Carpenter 3B
Goldschmidt DH
Molina C
O'Neill LF
Edman SS
Miller 2B
Ravelo 1B
Thomas CF
Flaherty SP
Paul Goldschmidt has found his way into the lineup, too -- though he dealt with elbow soreness in the first few days after his report date, it's keeping him off the field, but not out of the lineup.
130 days too long.

The Cards' season didn't end the way St. Louis wanted it to last season, but this team's ignominious NLCS fate should not obscure the fact that they took back the Central in 2019, and despite improvements from the Reds beneath them, St. Louis should still very much be considered the favorite entering a brand new campaign.
Can Jack Flaherty be even better after last year's breakout (11-8, 2.75, 231 whiffs)? Is that possible? It all begins on Saturday.
