Star Auburn DT Derrick Brown Declares for 2020 NFL Draft
By Michael Luciano

While Gus Malzahn and Auburn are losing a premier defensive lineman, the NFL is gaining a future Pro Bowler.
Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown, who is projected as a first round lock that will likely be drafted inside the Top 10 of the 2020 NFL Draft, has signed with agent Drew Rosenhaus as he prepares for life in the pros.

Brown has been an ever-present member of the Auburn defensive line over the last four years, but his final season as a Tiger might have been his finest to date. Brown picked up 50 tackles and four sacks despite getting double teamed frequently in the trenches.
What makes Brown so enticing as a prospect is the fact that for a lineman as big as he is at 320 pounds, his speed and explosiveness is frankly astonishing. It should serve him well when he's chasing down quarterbacks at the next level.

There is a high likelihood that Brown ends up being the first defensive tackle taken in the 2020 draft, and his skillset should translate to the NFL with immediate effect.
