Stats Show Justin Jefferson and Broncos Are Match Made in Heaven

The Denver Broncos are almost guaranteed to take a wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft to help out second-year quarterback Drew Lock. While many Broncos fans are expecting for one of either Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, or Henry Ruggs to land in the mile high city, their best fit might be LSU star Justin Jefferson.

Denver's biggest flaw on offense last year was their struggles on third down and in the red zone. Luckily, those are the two areas that Jefferson stands head and shoulders above the rest of his draft partners.

Jefferson is at home in the slot, where his plus hands, explosive starts off the line, and separation ability can really shine.

Against ranked teams last year, Jefferson recorded at least seven catches and 60 yards in every game, totaling nine touchdowns in seven games. Lock is going to love someone who produces consistently at that ridiculous clip.

While Broncos fans want one of Jeudy, Lamb, or Ruggs to help out Lock next year, Jefferson might be able to be as productive in Year 1 as any of the top three receivers given how sure-handed he has been in the clutch.
