Steelers and Joe Haden Reportedly Making Progress on 2-Year Extension
By Adam Weinrib

Former Browns CB Joe Haden has truly made a name for himself in a two-year stint in Pittsburgh, and it seems like he's looking to make the association a little more permanent.
Haden, a battler who loves to scrap with the opponent's top receiver, no matter how overmatched he may seem on paper, is reportedly making progress on a new deal with the Steelers as this team in transition prepares to embark on 2019.
Steelers and corner Joe Haden are making progress on a two-year contract extension, per source. Both sides have exchanged proposals. The two-time Pro Bowler is due $10 million in the last year of his deal, and the team could rework that year and extend him through 2021.

As of now, Haden is poised to make $10 million in his one remaining season under contract, and certainly proved his mettle in a bounce-back 2018 after a bit of a rough adjustment the year prior.
And yes, the hands are still there.

Haden picked off a pair of balls and defended 12 passes last season for Pittsburgh. Despite becoming a Cleveland icon during a down period for the city's athletic teams, he only made two Pro Bowls during his rise to prominence.
Just as The Land has returned to their rightful position in battling for the AFC North, Haden has instead decided to further distance himself and craft a home in the 'Burgh. A little security goes a long way.
