Steelers' Cam Heyward Announces Birth of Daughter on Instagram

Making two consecutive Pro Bowls is nice and all, but Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward just pulled off something that is immeasurably more important and valuable to him. He became a dad for the first time.

Heyward and his wife Allie welcomed their first child, a daughter named Caia, late Monday afternoon.

The last two years have been nothing less than home runs for Heyward, who on top of becoming a dad has also become one of the most feared defensive ends in football.

Heyward, the son of Pro Bowl fullback/running back Craig "Ironhead" Heyward, recorded 51 tackles and 8 sacks last year and made his second Pro Bowl. The year prior, he had 45 tackles and 12 sacks en route to his first All-Pro selection.

Expect much more of the same this season.

We'll see if Heyward plays with a bit of a pep in his step going forward, as he's reached a whole new chapter of his life.
