Steelers CB Joe Haden Reportedly Suffered Sprained AC Joint vs Patriots
By Parker White
If getting blown out by the New England Patriots in Week 1 of the season wasn't bad enough, an injury to one of the best defensive players on this team makes the result even worse for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Steelers cornerback Joe Haden suffered a sprained AC joint to his shoulder during Sunday's contest against New England.
How much time Haden will miss is still unknown at this time, but it'll take more than one week for him to get back on the field.
The two-time Pro Bowler has been one of the best corners in the league for a long time, and in 15 games last season he totaled 63 tackles with two interceptions and 12 passes defended.
Pittsburgh's secondary has been a problem for years now, and they were shredded Sunday night against a vaunted Patriots receiving corps. It was mediocre at best before Haden's injury, and now they have to try and get by in his absence.
