Steelers Fan Made GoFundMe to Help Pay Maurkice Pouncey's Fine After Skirmish During TNF
By Sean Facey

Maurkice Pouncey came to the defense of Mason Rudolph after Myles Garrett swung a helmet at him in the wild brawl which took place during Thursday Night Football. And now Steelers fans are coming to the defense of their offensive lineman.
A Pittsburgh Steelers fan started a GoFundMe page to help pay off the fine that Pouncey incurred for his role in the skirmish. Pouncey was suspended three games without pay, and will thus forfeit $176,470.

The page, which has set a goal of $50,000, has raised just over $1,000 through Friday afternoon. While it won't make up for all of the income Pouncey is losing due to the suspension, it's still a pretty awesome gesture from the fans.
Pouncey's involvement included punching and kicking Garrett after the defensive end swung the helmet at Rudolph. The entire scrum was a mess, but Pouncey was justified in jumping in to protect his quarterback from any further harm, though circumstances won't prevent him from being punished.
In all from the NFL:

— #Browns DE Myles Garrett suspended without pay indefinitely, at least the rest of the season.
— #Steelers OL Maurkice Pouncey suspended 3 games and fined
— #Browns DL Larry Ogunjobi suspended one game and fined.
— Other players involved may be fined.
Even with the context of the situation, malicious violence has no place on a football field, regardless of whether or not he was the instigator.
Clearly Pouncey has the support of Steeler Nation, and the GoFundMe is Pittsburgh's way of showing their offensive lineman that they support his actions.
