Steelers GM Kevin Colbert Has Incredibly Positive Assessment of Ben Roethlisberger's Recent Physical

Pittsburgh Steelers gunslinger Ben Roethlisberger was limited to less than two full games in 2019 after going under the knife to repair a brutal elbow injury.

After surgery, the 37-year-old spent the season on the Steelers sidelines, mentoring the likes of young signal callers Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges.

Though Roethlisberger is undoubtedly making strides, there's still a ways to go in his recovery. That's exactly what makes general manager Kevin Colbert's latest assessment so stunning.

A better Big Ben?

So, a better quarterback than the one that's led the Steelers to two Super Bowl wins? The future first-ballot Hall of Famer that's twice led the NFL in passing yards?

He, an aging veteran in the twilight of his career, fresh off elbow surgery, is supposed to be better than the guy that's amassed all of those aforementioned feats? We mean no disrespect to Roethlisberger, a warrior of the highest extreme, but Colbert is being delusional here.

Fans in the Steel City should be hyped to have the six-time Pro Bowler back under center in 2020. What they shouldn't be endorsing is being led astray by a GM in whom they are fully invested.
