James Conner Already Listed as Questionable for Steelers-Giants Monday Night Football Matchup on ESPN App

The NFL released its official 2020 regular season schedule this past Thursday, and Pittsburgh Steelers fans were far from shocked to see the team begin on the road for the sixth consecutive year. This time, they face a fellow illustrious football organization in the New York Giants on the first Monday Night Football game of the season. Right on cue, ESPN decided to get their app ready to go four months before the contest.

It appears the programmers for ESPN's official app had a bit of fun at running back James Conner's expense, because he's already listed as questionable for the game.

Why did they have to do Conner dirty like that? Let's be real they were just getting ready for the inevitable because if last season showed us anything, it's that Conner is far from a durable running back

He had a remarkable 2018 season taking over for Le'Veon Bell, but he just couldn't catch on for the first six weeks of his 2019 campaign. After finally breaking out for 145 rushing yards against the Miami Dolphins in Week 8, Conner suffered a shoulder injury in garbage time. He returned two weeks later only to re-injure his shoulder in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns, knocking him out for an additional three games.

Through 10 games, Conner rushed for 464 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 116 carries, while logging 34 receptions for 251 yards and three scores.

Hopefully, Conner can return to form and solidify his spot as the Steelers' undisputed starting running back. But last year has everyone cautious -- even those running the ESPN app.
