Steelers' James Washington Spending Quarantine Working Out on a Farm is Freaking Perfect
By Evan Wolff
Time in quarantine has caused many NFL players to find new and creative ways to remain active during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some have utilized personal gyms to keep their fitness up for when offseason activities eventually start. Others, like Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver James Washington, have used nature to their advantage.
Washington has been unique in his use of his extra free time, and has decided to work on a farm during this extended isolation period. His new 26-acre piece of land has kept him in the best shape of his life, and his creative methods of working out have helped him drop his weight.
It's awesome that Washington has found a way to keep himself productive by getting back to his roots, as he grew up on a farm in his native Texas. He also majored in agribusiness while attending Oklahoma State University, and has found the perfect opportunity to put what he learned in school to effective use.
His humble and hard-working attitude has endeared Washington to both his Steelers teammates, and the fans who watch him on Sundays in the fall. Stories like these remind us that as talented as these NFL players are, they can also be regular hard-working people just like us off the playing field.
