NFL Will Reportedly Fine Steelers QB Mason Rudolph for Role in Thursday Night Brawl
By Michael Luciano
Mason Rudolph might have avoided a suspension after the Thursday Night debacle, but he isn't getting away scot free.
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, who was attacked with his own helmet by Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, will face a fine for his own actions that led up to the now famous dust-up, per insider Albert Breer.
Rudolph, who was at the end of the worst professional game he had to date in the 21-7 loss, was seen putting his hands on Garrett's head and trying to push him while he was on the ground. Of course, Garrett lost the victim card when he freaked out and used Rudolph's own headgear as a bludgeon.
Garrett has since been suspended indefinitely by the league.
Rudolph is adamant he did nothing wrong, even going so far as to call Garrett a coward. But now, it appears he'll be facing some music of his own.
Rudolph might not have been the worst perpetrator in all this mess, but the league has reportedly ruled that his actions leading up to the now-infamous helmet attack qualify him as more than just an innocent bystander.
