Though it may not be regular season time yet, Preseason Week 1 is the next best thing, quenching the unrelenting thirst for competitive football that develops in every fan over the course of a long summer. After a memorable offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers will finally be back on the field Friday to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The matchup is set to begin at 7:30 PM ET from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh and will be broadcast on NFL Network. Streaming is available on FuboTV (free trial!) and the Reddit NFL Streams subreddit.

This will be the Steelers first opportunity to prove they won't miss a step in the absence of stars Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell, as JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Conner will take over as the top skill position players on the roster.

While many have dismissed Pittsburgh as an afterthought in the AFC North after their tough offseason and the resurgence of the Cleveland Browns, Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger hope to use this season to show the world why they've been a winning duo in this league for so long.

Josh Dobbs will start at quarterback for the Steelers on Friday, so don't expect to see Roethlisberger on the field in this one, though.

The Buccaneers have been relatively quiet since the league year began, but they added one of the top defenders in the draft in Devin White. Hopefully he'll get significant playing time, as he'll be one of the most exciting players to watch.
